Along Israel’s northern border lies a landscape where communities, homes, and everyday life exist on both sides of a boundary shaped by decades of conflict, tension, and war.
From observation points along the border, including Metula, the view extends into southern Lebanon, toward the villages of Kfar Kila, Qlayaa, and Maroun al-Ras.
Separated by short distances, sometimes only a few hundred meters from the border, buildings, residential homes, churches, roads, and landscapes reveal traces of the region’s history and security realities.
This photographic series documents the region from Israeli territory, capturing the landscape on both sides of the border and exploring the contrast between geographical proximity and political and security separation.
One border. Two sides. A complex reality.
